Website Spam Finder - Find Spammy Content and Hacked Pages On Your Website



Website Spam Finder is a 100% free desktop application that scans your website looking for webpages that may contain spammy content. Most people use this tool to find content that they did not publish on their website. This is typically if their website is hacked and spammy content is injected. You simply download it, open the main application file, enter your website and click start. It will find the content on each webpage that appears to be spammy or adult themed. This is done by extracting each webpages content from its paragraph tags and then comparing it against an editable list of spammy and adult words.



The application has several other handy features for detecting unwanted changes to your website. It can look for links to bad spammy/adult websites. When a website is hacked links are often injected into a websites content. It can also check for webpages that are redirecting users to other websites either through a 301 or metatag redirect. It can also check for appended/prepended suspicious looking website code, foreign content such as Russian or Chinese and check your website against the Google malware detection API.



Finally the application is also able to crawl your website using the GoogleBot user-agent. This feature is useful because some hacked websites only show their injected content when Google crawls them. So this may be why you see a large amount of spammy content in Google's index for your website but are unable to find it when browsing with a normal web browser.
